Sara Morgan, PhD, CPO, is a Senior Research Scientist and co-Director of the Spine Research Program at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, MN. She conducts research on health outcomes related to bracing and surgery in scoliosis care. She is also an active volunteer in professional organizations, and currently serves as the Research Committee Chair for the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research and a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Michelle Welborn, MD, FAAOS, is the chief of spine surgery and president of the medical staff at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland Oregon and the Diane Ruth Abramson Professor of Pediatric Orthopedic and Burn Surgery. She is active in the AAOS, POSNA, Pediatric Spine Study Group, and the Scoliosis Research Society. She is the head of the multicenter BLISS (Biomarker Longitudinal Idiopathic Scoliosis Study) Study Group and is an editor for Spine, Spine Deformity, and JPO. Her free time is spent hanging out with her husband and twin boys hiking, biking and skiing in the pacific northwest.

Lori Ann Dolan, PhD, has been involved in pediatric orthopedic research at the University of Iowa since 1990 and co-lead the BrAIST project. She has been a member of SOSORT since 2007, a Board member since 2017, and served as the scientific committee chair in 2018 and 2019. Dr. Dolan’s goal is to increase high-quality collaborative research in scoliosis.
