Courses for Orthotists

Courses for Orthotists

Give your patients the guidance and support they need while earning CEUs in the process

How does it work?

After signing up and completing payment, you will receive an email with the subject line: BEGIN TRAINING | Becoming a Source of Support for your Scoliosis Patients. If you do not see the email, please check your spam folder. Follow the instructions in this email to get started.

Once in the platform, you'll progress through the different sections of the course. There are three main videos and interactive questions throughout. After you complete the course and submit your quiz and feedback form, you'll receive a confirmation email.

What are clinicians saying about the course?

"The training course was very informative and delivered brilliantly with great resources provided for further reading and education. I feel this will improve my interaction with Scoliosis patients and has provided some useful tips in how to support Scoliosis patients emotionally and mentally with the challenging brace process." - Clarissa, Orthotic Assistant

"My favorite part of the course was the 15 tips to use in practice." - Rachel, CPO

"I have found this course really worth while and feel like it is a topic that is not talked about enough. This is a really invaluable resource."

Will I get CEUs?

YES! You will earn 2.25 CEUs when you complete this course. CEU credits will be submitted to ABC at the end of each month.

Who should take this course?

The course is designed for orthotists and for individuals working alongside orthotists and bracing (orthopedics, physical therapists, orthotic assistants, fitters, technicians, residents, students, etc.). The course dives into bracing, looking at the psychosocial research behind bracing and providing practical tips for improving the patient experience.

While the course is geared towards orthotists, all providers (Physical Therapists, APPs, Social Workers, etc.) are more than welcome to participate! If you are not credentialed through ABC (American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics) but would like to receive CEUs, please email Megan at megan@bracingforscoliosus.org and request your course completion certificate. You can submit this certificate to your respective institutions for credit.

How much is the course?

The cost is $60.
